My name is Christie Laume. I am the sister of Theo Sarapo who married the great singer Edith Piaf in 1962 in Paris. I lived with them in Paris during this time. I was only 20 years old.

I am writing 3 biographies. One is dedicated to my sister-in-law, Edith Piaf, her life, her career, our time together and our talks. One biography is dedicated to my brother, Theo Sarapo, his life and career, and our close relationship. And my autobiography.

Since my brother’s death, Theo Sarapo, in 1970, many questions came to my mind. Why are people born? Why do people die? Since my divorce, being alone, raising my children at an early age, and loving them so much, many other questions cam to my mind. What is the best way to raise them? I made a personal commitment. I turned totally to the Lord Jesus Christ and read the Bible every day for direction, love and comfort.

Because I have been asked so many questions from many people for the past 40 years, I am in the process of writing my memoirs on Theo and Edith, and the life I lived with them.
